A tasty recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: butter, sugar, egg, self-raising flour, nutmeg (freshly grated), hazelnuts, sweet sherry (eg Pedro Ximenez slijter) and powdered sugar.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ºC.
  2. Beat the butter with the sugar and the egg creamy with a mixer.
  3. Add the flour, nutmeg and a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly.
  4. Spoon the contents into the mini baking molds or into muffin molds.
  5. Fry the petit fours until golden brown and done.
  6. This takes 8-10 minutes in the mini-baking tin; in the muffin molds 15-20 minutes.
  7. Chop the nuts roughly in a mortar or with the hand blender.
  8. Roast the coarsely chopped nuts until golden brown in a dry frying pan.
  9. Stir the sherry through the icing sugar into a thick porridge, spread over the petit fours and sprinkle the hazelnuts over it.
  10. If necessary, grate a little nutmeg over it.
  11. Serve the petit fours with a glass of sweet sherry..
