Potato salad with herring


A tasty Dutch recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: fish, potatoes (solid, peeled and diced), olive oil, white wine vinegar, fresh chives (finely chopped), diced herring, apples, radish (in slices) and lamb's lettuce.

Directions

  1. Cook the potato cubes in approx.
  2. 10 minutes until done.
  3. In the meantime, whisk the oil with the vinegar, a little salt and pepper into a vinaigrette.
  4. Stir in the chives.
  5. Drain the potatoes and scoop them directly through the vinaigrette.
  6. Allow the potatoes to cool down to lukewarm.
  7. Remove the tails from the herrings and cut the fish meat into pieces.
  8. Peel the apples and cut the flesh into cubes.
  9. Mix the herring, apple, radish and lamb's lettuce loosely through the potato cubes.
  10. Keep the salad possibly covered in the refrigerator..
