Directions

  1. Cut the butter and goat's cheese into cubes.
  2. Finely chop the garlic and oregano.
  3. Cut the peppers into strips.
  4. Mix in a bowl the flour with a pinch of salt and scoop the butter cubes through.
  5. Mix the butter through the flour with the fingertips until it becomes a crumbly mixture.
  6. Break an egg on top and add the tablespoons of cold water.
  7. Knead everything with a cool hand into a firm dough ball.
  8. Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and leave the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  9. Heat the oil in a frying pan and gently fry the garlic.
  10. Scoop the pepper strips through them and simmer them lightly in 4-6 minutes.
  11. Stir in the oregano from the heat and add some salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  12. Allow the mixture to cool.
  13. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  14. Beat the rest of the eggs with the whipped cream and stir in the pepper mixture.
  15. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a round piece and coat the cake mold with the dough.
  16. Press the side and let the dough protrude above the shape, if necessary cut the top edge nicely.
  17. Pour the egg mixture with peppers in it and press the pieces of goat cheese between the pepper strips.
  18. Slide the mold into a ridge in the middle of the oven and fry the cake in 25-30 minutes until golden brown and done.
