Bring the milk with the rice and a pinch of salt to the boil and stir well. Let the rice cook gently on a low setting, stirring occasionally in 15-20 minutes.

Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the sugar and cinnamon powder until the sugar has melted. Scoop the raisins through and heat for a while.

Spoon the warm rice pudding into bowls and spoon over some raisin sauce.
