Robust farmhouse cheese fondue

Rub the inside of the fondue pan with the garlic.

Bring the vegetable stock to the boil. Stir in the grated (farmers) cheese in portions and at a low setting until all the cheese has melted.

Stir in the diluted cornstarch and mustard through the cheese mixture. Cook gently for 2-3 minutes until the fondue is bound.

Serve the cheese fondue in the pan on a racket on the table. Tasty with coarse brown bread.
