Saffron rice with vegetables


A nice Indian recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: saffron, ghee ((tip) or oil), cinnamon sticks, cloves, ground cardamom (spices), bay leaves, basmati rice, winter carrots (diced), raisins, garden peas (frozen) and salted cashew nuts ( coarsely chopped).

Directions

  1. Saffron with 3 tbsp hot water for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in casserole ghee and cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and laurel leaves until fragrance is released.
  3. Stir in rice, carrots, saffron and raisins and fry for 3 minutes.
  4. Add 1 tsp salt and 750 ml water to rice and let everything covered over 20 min.
  5. Over low heat.
  6. Add the last 5 min.
  7. (Frozen) garden peas.
  8. Remove cinnamon and cloves.
  9. Dip the rice into a bowl and sprinkle cashew over it..
