Salad with groninger-mustard dressing and toast from groninger cake
A tasty Dutch recipe. The lunch contains the following ingredients: meat, Groninger cake (or old-age cake), (farmers) smoked sausage (250 g), chicory, olive oil, (white) balsamic vinegar, Groninger mustard, watercress (a 75 g) and apples (peeled and sliced) .

Preheat the oven grill. From Groningen cake cut 12 slices of 1/2 cm thickness. Place slices of cookie on baking sheet and slide 10 cm under grill. Cake in browns for 1-3 min. Turn halfway (pay attention that slices do not burn). Allow to cool on a grid.

Smoked sausage according to the instructions on the packaging. Remove leaves of chicory and cut into 2-3 pieces. In a bowl of oil with vinegar and mustard, beat into a dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn watercress, chicory and apple lightly through dressing. Spread salad over four plates. Cut sausage into slices and lay on salad. Place spice cake next to it.
