Stir the cream cheese well in a large bowl.

Scoop the capers, the apple and the pickles. Season with salt and pepper.

Place 4 slices of ham stacked side by side on a piece of foil. Place 4 more slices in the same way.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture in the middle and roll the slices of ham firmly with the aid of the foil.

Turn the foil around it and let the roll stiffen in the fridge for an hour or more (this can be done a day in advance).

Make the lamb's lettuce with the oil and the vinegar and some salt and pepper. Put some lamb's lettuce on 4 plates.

Cut the roll into 12 slices and place them on the salad. Cut the slices of bread into triangles and place them there.
