Cut the stalk of the red pepper. Halve the pepper in the length and remove the seed lists with a sharp knife. Peel the ginger.

Cut the red pepper, ginger and garlic into pieces and put into the food processor. Add the peanuts and grind as finely as possible.

Heat the coconut milk in a saucepan. Add the peanut mixture and bring to the boil while stirring.

Add the hot water and the ketjapmarinadetoe and simmer for another 2 minutes. Add extra water if the sauce is still too thick.
