Peel the potatoes and cut into equal pieces. Boil the potatoes in water with salt in 20 minutes until done.

Cut the unpeeled apples into quarters, remove the cores and cut into pieces.

Bake the bacon cubes on a low heat in a small frying pan. Spoon the mustard and stir.

Add the sauerkraut with added moisture, apple, raisins and pepper. Cover everything and put the lid on the pan. Stew the sauerkraut with apple for 15 min.

Heat the smoked sausage according to the instructions on the packaging. Cut the sausage into slices.

Drain the potatoes and grate coarsely with the puree masher.

Add the sauerkraut with the liquid and the smoked sausage and carefully cover everything.
