Sauerkraut bean dish
Sauerkraut in an oven dish with white beans, smoked sausage, mustard, apple, caramelized onion and parsley.

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.

Put the sauerkraut in a colander, rinse briefly under warm running water and let it drain. Cut the smoked sausage into slices.

Mix the sauerkraut with the smoked sausage, beans and mustard.

Put the mixture in the baking dish and bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes.

Clean the apples, cut into quarters and remove the core. Cut into thin slices.

Cut the onions into thin rings. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and let caramelize on low heat for 15 minutes. Add the apple for the last 5 minutes.

Divide the bean dish over the plates. Slice the parsley and sprinkle over it. Serve with the onion and apple.
