Ingredients
Directions
-
Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces. Drain the sauerkraut well in a colander and press out the moisture. Melt a third of the butter in a pan, pour in the sauerkraut and pour in the apple juice.
-
Smother the sauerkraut covered in 20 minutes until tender. Boil the potatoes in a hefty layer of boiling water with a little salt in 15-20 minutes until done.
-
Cut the onions coarse. Heat another third of the butter in a skillet and gently fry the onions in 5 minutes golden yellow. Spoon half of the fried onion on a plate. Add the minced meat to the onion in the pan and sprinkle with paprika, thyme and some salt and pepper. Fry the minced meat mixture into brown and crunchy.
-
Meanwhile, peel the bananas and halve them in the length. Heat the remaining butter in a frying pan and fry the bananas nicely brown in 4-6 minutes.
-
Drain the potatoes and crush them. Pour the warm milk with stirring and stir everything into a smooth puree. Mix the sauerkraut, fried onion and some salt and pepper. Warm the stew for a little while. Serve the sauerkraut stew in deep plates, with a dimple in the middle with the minced meat in it and over it. Put 2 half bananas on top.
