Sauerkraut stew with smoked mackerel


Stew of mashed potatoes, smoked mackerel fillet, Amsterdam onion, sauerkraut and leek.

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the leek for 2 min. On medium heat.
  2. Meanwhile, rinse the sauerkraut in a ball sieve under cold running water.
  3. Add the sauerkraut to the leek and simmer for 3 minutes on low heat without lid on the pan, so that the moisture can evaporate.
  4. Meanwhile, let the onions drain. Divide the mackerel into pieces.
  5. Spoon the mashed potatoes through the vegetables and heat for another 4 minutes. Scoop well.
  6. Put the mustard and onion through. Divide the pieces of mackerel over them and serve.
