Sauerkraut with baked apple

Peal the apples. Drill out the apple house from an apple and cut this apple into slices. Cut the other apple into pieces.

Chop the onion. Heat half of the olive oil in a frying pan and gently fry the onion.

Press the moisture out of the sauerkraut in a sieve. Spoon the sauerkraut through the onion and cook for another 2 minutes. Scoop the apple pieces through and sprinkle the thyme and some freshly ground pepper over it.

Pour in the stock. Smother the sauerkraut covered in 25 minutes gently until done, shovel everything regularly.

Heat the last olive oil in a frying pan and fry the slices of apple in 3-4 minutes.

Serve the sauerkraut in a bowl and place the slices of apple on it. Delicious with fried chicken breast and mashed potatoes.
