A tasty american recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: meat, red pepper, tasty tom tomatoes, artisan smoked breakfast bacon (finely chopped), onion (chopped), garlic (finely chopped), dark brown caster sugar and Worcestershire sauce (bottle of 150 ml).

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Put the peppers and tomatoes in the baking dish and put in the oven for about 40 minutes. Then put the pepper for 15 minutes in a pan with the lid on top or in a sealed plastic bag. Meanwhile, push the tomatoes through a sieve with a spoon and collect the liquid and the puree. The skins and residual seeds are not used.
  2. Bake the bacon in a saucepan in 5 min. Add the onion and garlic and fry 5 minutes on medium heat. Add the tomato and let it simmer for another 2 minutes on low heat.
  3. Remove the skin from the pepper, cut the flesh into small cubes of 0.5 x 0.5 cm (brunoise) and scoop through the sauce. Season the sauce with the sugar, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and salt. Allow to cool. Delicious with a grilled burger, steak or lamb.
