Directions

  1. For about 250 ml sauce, let the tomatoes, red peppers, garlic, brown caster sugar, ketchup, (apple) vinegar, applesauce, soy sauce and paprika powder boil for about 45 minutes on a low setting (make sure that the sauce does not burn).
  2. Purée and sieve the sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper (if necessary, reduce it slightly further to the desired thickness).
  3. Allow the sauce to cool completely and pour into sparkling bottles. Keep sealed in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
