Spicy pears in a jar


A tasty recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: vanilla bean, sereh (lemongrass), cloves, cinnamon stick, white wine, liquid honey, butter, freshly ground four seasons pepper (pot) and pears (Conférence of Doyenne de Comice).

Directions

  1. Vanilla bean and lemongrass halve in length.
  2. Put cloves in lemongrass pieces.
  3. Cinnamon stick break in half.
  4. Bring wine with honey, butter and spices to a boil.
  5. Put the fire down and let wine simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 160 ºC.
  7. Peel the pears, leave the stalk.
  8. Put pears each (upright) in the jar.
  9. Distribute wine through (point) sieve into measuring cup.
  10. With a tip of knife marrow scrape from vanilla pod, stirring with wine.
  11. Divide wine over pears.
  12. Close the jars and place them in a water tray or a large baking dish filled with soil.
  13. Place preserving jars on the grid in the middle of the oven and soften the pears in bain-marie in approx.
  14. 30 minutes.
  15. Open pots at the table, otherwise the aroma will be lost.
  16. Serve with crème fraîche where the bag of vanilla sugar is whipped through..
