Spicy rhubarb compote with strawberries
This compote is delicious with poultry or roast pork or as a dessert with vanilla ice cream.

Cut the stalk of the red pepper. Halve the pepper in the length and remove the seed lists with a sharp knife. Cut the flesh into pieces.

Cut the rhubarb into 2 cm pieces. Put with the water in a pan.

Add the sugar, the cinnamon stick and red pepper and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and cook the rhubarb for about 10 minutes until done. Allow to cool.

Clean the strawberries and cut into parts. Squeeze out the lime.

Spoon the strawberries through the rhubarb and season the compote with the lime juice. Yummy! .
