Peel the asparagus with a peeler all around from the cup down. Cut off the woody ends so that all asparagus is the same length. Put the asparagus in a frying pan.

Measure the orange juice in a measuring cup and add curry powder, thyme, salt and olive oil. Pour this mixture into the asparagus. Bring over medium-high heat to the boil and smother the asparagus covered in 10-12 minutes until tender.

Leave some of the cooking liquid to evaporate without the lid. Tasty with steak or chicken fillet.
