Spinach ricotta balls
A tasty recipe. The vegetarian main course contains the following ingredients: sliced leaf spinach cubes ((450 g, frozen), thawed), garlic, ricotta (Italian cheese), egg, white bread, breadcrumbs, oil, tomato cubes (400 g) and gnocchi di patate (potato) pasta balls).

Grind the spinach in the food processor with the garlic, ricotta, egg, bread and breadcrumbs to a firm mass, season with salt and (freshly ground) pepper. Turn balls of the size of a walnut with moist hands.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the balls in light brown for about 5 minutes. Pour the tomato cubes and let it simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on the pan. Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi al dente according to the instructions on the package. Season the spinach ricotta balls with tomato sauce to taste with salt, and scoop the gnocchi through. Tasty with grated cheese.

Add some (freshly ground) pepper to the dish for the mature variety.
