Spring stew with tree trunks
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, butter or margarine, tree trunks (meat, 4 pieces), crumbly cooking potatoes ((800 g)), carrots (scraped (a 300 g)), snow peas (200 g) and milk.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine in a frying pan and fry the tree trunks according to the instructions on the packaging until golden and brown.

Put the potatoes together with the roots and cook them according to the instructions on the packaging of the potatoes. Remove the snow peas, cut into oblique strips and boil in boiling water for 4-5 min. Until crispy.

Drain the cooking water from the potatoes and carrots, add the milk and the rest of the butter and bring the milk to the boil. Mash the potatoes and the roots coarsely, stir in the snow peas. Serve the stew with the tree trunks.
