Ingredients
Directions
-
Sprinkle the meat with the flour. Shake off the excess flour.
-
Let the oil and the butter become hot in a frying pan and fry the meat golden brown.
-
Chop the onion and scoop together with the bacon cubes and let them fry until the bacon turns light brown.
-
Crush the juniper berries with the convex side of a spoon and add with the cloves and bay leaf. Season with (freshly ground) salt and pepper.
-
Pour the red wine with the meat in the pan and stir well.
-
Place the lid on the pan and let the meat simmer for about 2 ½ hours on a low heat. Stir the meat regularly to avoid burning.
-
When the moisture evaporates too much and the meat is not yet tender, add some water.
-
Cut the gingerbread into dice and scoop the meat in the pan and let it simmer for another half an hour.
-
Preheat the oven to 250 ° C.
-
Grease the oven dish with butter. Spoon the stew with all ingredients and the cooking liquid into the dish and cover with a layer of mashed potatoes.
-
Peel the apple and cut into rings and cover the puree with the apple. Crumble the biscuit and sprinkle the apple with it.
-
Place the hunting dish in the oven for about 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
