Directions

  1. Pour a layer of water of approx. 4 cm into a pan. Add the potatoes with a little salt and bring to the boil.
  2. Once the potatoes are boiled, put the kale and smoked sausage on top. Turn down the heat and cook the potatoes and vegetables - with the lid on the on pan - for about 15-20 minutes. Prick the potatoes to feel as if they are soft.
  3. Meanwhile, bake the bacon cubes in a dry frying pan.
  4. Drain the cooking liquid. Mash the potatoes and kale with a pestle. Stir in the butter and make the stew a little smoother with the warm milk.
  5. Spoon the bacon cubes and season the stew with salt and pepper and a dash of vinegar. Serve the stew with the smoked sausage.
