Stewed little gem with hazelnuts
A tasty recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: hazelnuts, little gem (lettuce, packed per 2), butter, orange (grated and juice) and freshly ground black pepper.

Chop the hazelnuts coarsely with a large knife and roast them for a few minutes in a frying pan without butter or oil until the pieces turn golden brown.

Put the hazelnuts on a plate so that they do not burn in the hot pan.

Halve the lettuce heads in the length, remove any ugly leaves.

Melt the butter in a skillet and place the crop with the cutting edge down.

Bake them for 2 minutes, turn the cups over and sprinkle the grated orange peel over them.

Grind a little pepper and sprinkle some salt over the lettuce.

Pour in the orange juice.

Put a lid on the pan and simmer the lettuce heads gently for about 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the stewed little gems.

Delicious with fried pork fillets or pork chops and puree..
