Strudel with pumpkin and chicken
Try this delicious strudel with pumpkin and chicken
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 onion shredded
- 300 gram pumpkins in small blocks
- 200 gram chicken breast in small blocks
- 1 mespoint cinnamon powder
- 1 mespoint coriander powder (ketoembar)
Heat the oil and fry the onion gently in about 5 minutes.
Add the pumpkin and chicken fillet and stir fry until the pumpkin is al dente and the chicken is tender and light brown.
Add the spices and apricots and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Allow this filling to cool.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Spread 2 sheets of filo pastry next to each other on the baking sheet and brush them with a tassel of butter. Place them with 1 centimeter overlap so that you get a large square. Continue with the other sheets, always with butter and make sure that the edges stick well.
Divide the filling over the middle of the dough but leave a few centimeters at the sides. Roll the dough carefully with the filling and place the roll with the seam down on the baking sheet.
Brush the roll with the egg and sprinkle with the almonds. If necessary, sprinkle some grains of coarse salt. Bake the strudel in the oven in about 20 minutes until golden brown.
