Directions

  1. Rinse the mackerels and pat dry.
  2. Add the raisins, salt, pepper, cinnamon powder, parsley and dill, cook for 2 minutes and let everything cool down.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and fry the onion. Add the nuts and pine nuts and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour on a plate. Beat the eggs in a deep plate and sprinkle breadcrumbs on a third plate. Fill the mackerels with the onion-nut mixture and close them with pickles.
  5. First take the fish through the flour, then through the eggs through the breadcrumbs. Heat the rest of the olive oil and fry the stuffed fish in 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked.
