Directions

  1. Mix the flour, the caster sugar, 1 egg and the baking powder. Add butter and cut it into small pieces with two knives.
  2. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Melt the sugar in a pan with a thick bottom.
  4. Add the honey and stir in the cream, walnuts and hazelnuts. Keep stirring until a tough mass is created.
  5. Sprinkle the spring form with the ground almonds. On a floured surface, roll ⅔ of the dough into a round piece of 30 cm.
  6. Line the bottom of the mold with it. Roll out the rest of the dough into a 26 cm diameter piece. Dough remains for figurines.
  7. Divide the nut mixture over the dough base. Cover this with the second dough piece and press the edges onto the dough base.
  8. Prick holes in the dough lid. Shape the remaining dough leaves and stick them with the second beaten egg.
  9. Spread the rest of the egg over the pie. Fry this cake in the middle of the oven for 30-35 minutes and until done.
