A tasty recipe. The vegetarian starter contains the following ingredients: yellow pepper, buttered puff pastry ((frozen), thawed), butter (hard), sugar, fresh thyme leaves and white (balsamic vinegar).

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Clean the bell pepper and cut it lengthwise into thin strips. Halve the slices of puff pastry.
  2. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and draw 8 times the size of half a slice of puff pastry. Keep sufficient space. Cut or scrape the butter into wafer-thin slices and place the slices side by side in the marked rectangles. Sprinkle the sugar over the butter in the rectangles.
  3. Sprinkle the thyme over the sugar and season it with pepper. Place the pepper strips lengthwise in the rectangles and sprinkle some salt over it. Cover the peppers with slices of puff pastry and press down the edges of the dough.
  4. Slide the baking sheet into a ridge in the middle of the oven and bake the tarts in approx. 20 min. Until golden brown and done.
  5. Immediately put a large flat dish on the baking tray from the oven, turn them together and let the cakes slide on the dish (beware of the hot caramel!). Remove the baking paper. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the tarts.
