Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Put the flour in a bowl. Break the eggs above it. Pour the milk into a smooth batter while beating with a whisk.

Add the thyme and pepper and salt to taste. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sausages in 3 min. Brown.

Grease the oven dish. Remove the sausages from the pan and place in the oven dish. Place the dish in the oven for about 5 minutes.

Remove the dish and pour the batter over it. Put back in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the onion into rings and fry the onion rings in the remaining fat for 15 minutes on low heat.

Stir in the water and leave to boil for another 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

In the meantime, remove the stalk and the tip of the green beans. Cook in salted water for 8 minutes.

Serve this British winter oven dish with the onion gravy and beans.
