Preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius.

Cut the meat into cubes, put it in an ovenproof pan with the laurel and juniper berries.

Add as much water that the meat is under and bring to the boil.

Put the pan in the oven and let the meat simmer until it falls apart (about 3 hours).

When it is done, remove it from the liquid, let it drain and cool.

Pick the cooled meat into pieces and mix it with the cubes of tomato, ketchup, oregano, thyme and capers.

Season with salt and freshly ground pepper.

Cut the bread into thick slices, brush the slices with olive oil and fry them in the frying pan until they are crispy.

Spoon the meat salad on it and garnish with some olives left behind.
