Tomato-mushroom sauce
A tasty Italian recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: olive oil, mushrooms ((a 250 g), in quarters), onions (chopped), garlic (chopped), dried thyme and tomato cubes (a 400 g).

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry the mushrooms over a high heat for 5 min. Scoop frequently. In the meantime, heat the remaining oil in a large pan and fry the onion for 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 1 minute. Sprinkle with the thyme.

Add the tomato together with 200 ml of water and bring to the boil. Add the mushrooms and cook for 15 minutes on low heat. Season with salt and pepper. You can prepare this sauce 1 day in advance. Keep covered in the refrigerator.
