Roll the bread a little flat with a rolling pin. Cover 4 slices of bread with a few slices of egg.

Cover with a small leaf of lettuce and spread a large spoon of the loosened filet of americain, cream pâté or fish salad.

Make sure that the edges of the sandwich remain free and brush the edges with a little mayonnaise. Put the other sandwich on here.

Cut the sandwiches diagonally in half and press the edges of the sandwich together. Place the sandwiches on a bowl with the filling forward.
