Drain the tuna in a sieve and place in a bowl. Mix in the sambal and mayonnaise and spread over 4 slices of spelled bread.

Cut the half red onion into thin rings and distribute with the pickles cubes over the tuna. Cover with the slices of cheese and the rest of the slices of bread.

Heat a large skillet (or 2 smaller). Brush the sides of the sandwiches with the butter and fry the sandwiches in 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Turn halfway.
