Apple-forest fruit pie

A tasty recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: patent flour, white caster sugar, cold butter, egg (split), cold milk, mixed apples (eg Braeburn and Granny Smith), forest fruits (frozen, box a 300 g), almond paste (pack a 300 g), almond shavings ((a 45 g), crumbled) and sugar.

Directions

  1. Mix in bowl flour with caster sugar and pinch of salt. Cut butter with two crossed knives into small cubes. Add egg yolk and milk and knead quickly into cohesive dough with a cool hand. Shape dough ball and leave wrapped in plastic wrap for at least 1 hour in refrigerator. If necessary, freeze dough for later use.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Spray work surface and rolling pin with flour and roll dough ball into round piece of 36 cm diameter. Carefully place the dough flap in greased tart mold, with generously overhanging edges. With a fork pierce some holes in the dough floor.
  3. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut the flesh into small cubes. Mix frozen forest fruits, almond paste, almond shavings and sugar. Create apple mixture in a tart mold. Push overhanging dough over apple mixture and press down slightly. Filling remains largely visible. Beat the egg white and brush the dough edges with it. Bake in oven for 45 to 50 minutes until dough is golden brown. Let the cake cool down and take it out of shape. Serving lukewarm or cold. Delicious with whipped whipped cream.
