Recipe for crispy apple turnovers with cinnamon and almond paste

Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.

Let the puff pastry thaw.

Peel and cut the apples into pieces, remove the core and cut the flesh into blocks of ½ x ½ cm (brunoise).

Mix the apple with the raisins, cinnamon, sugar and food in a bowl.

Place the puff pastry on a baking tray covered with parchment paper. Divide the filling over half of the slices, but keep the edges free.

Beat the egg. Brush the edges with half of the egg.

Fold the puff pastry diagonally over the filling and press the edges with the teeth of a fork.

Brush the f with the rest of the egg and sprinkle with the rest of the sugar. Bake for about 25 minutes in the middle of the oven until golden brown and done.
