Directions

  1. Boil the chicken fillet in water with the chicken broth tablet for about 10 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and allow to cool.
  2. Pour 2.5 cups of water for the dough into a bowl and add the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper in portions. Knead to a smooth dough and leave it covered for about 5 minutes.
  3. Cut the chicken fillet into mini cubes or pull the chicken apart as a pulled chicken to 'pulled chicken' (wire chicken).
  4. Drizzle the avocado with the lemon juice and mix it with the onion, coriander, mayonnaise and chicken.
  5. Shape bread rolls from the dough and flatten them into round rolls of 1.5 cm thick. Fry them in a greased grill pan or frying pan on half a stand for about 5 minutes per side. The exterior is then crisp and the inside still soft.
  6. Cut open the 'arepas' and fill them with the chicken avocado mixture.
