Ingredients
Directions
-
Put the cast iron pan on the grid and place 3 glowing briquettes underneath.
-
While the coals are glowing and the pan heats up, mix the bread flour with the salt in a bowl.
-
Dissolve the yeast in 150 ml of lukewarm water and stir in the vegetable oil.
-
Pour the mixture into the bread flour and stir with the wooden spoon through the whole.
-
Then knead it with your hands into a firm dough.
-
If the mixture remains too wet, you can add some extra flour.
-
Remove the dough from the bowl and knead it again on a floured countertop.
-
Make a ball from the dough.
-
Remove the coals from the cast iron pan and put the dough ball in the preheated oil-lined pan.
-
Let the dough rise for at least an hour.
-
The dough is ready when it has increased 2 times in volume.
-
Make sure that the other briquettes glow in the meantime.
-
Then place 7 glowing coals under the pan and place 20 on the lid of the pan.
-
Let this stand for 20 minutes and look carefully if the bread is cooked and brown.
-
If this is not the case, leave it for a few minutes.
-
Carefully remove the bread from the pan and whisk gently with the wooden spoon on the crust. Sounds hollow. Then the bread is ready.
