Preheat the oven to 175 ° C or gas oven setting 3.

Line the shape with baking paper, grease and dust with flour. Grate the peel of the orange.

Split the eggs. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks with soft sugar. Beat the curd cheese through. Mix in coconut, orange zest, flour and cinnamon powder. Whisk the egg whites in another bowl and scoop the egg whites into the curd mixture.

Pour the curd mixture into the mold. Fry the cake in the middle of the oven in approx. 1 hour until tender and a little brown. Let the cake rest for approx. 10 minutes in the switched off oven. Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool for about 15 minutes.

Remove the cake from the mold and let it cool down further.

Peel the grated orange thickly into the flesh and cut the flesh into slices. Dust the cake with icing sugar and cut into 8 points. Serve the cake with slices of orange next to it.
