Barbecue sauce with apple cider
Homemade barbecue sauce made from garlic, shallots, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider, fennel and paprika powder.

Slice the garlic and shallots fine. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the garlic and shallots for 5 minutes on low heat.

Add the mustard, Worchestershire sauce, tomato frito, sugar, ground fennel, Apple Bandit apple cider and paprika and bring to the boil while stirring.

Cook over medium heat for 25 minutes. Stir frequently.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature in 1 hour.
