Directions

  1. Heat the sugar with 50 ml of water in a thick-bottomed saucepan at medium height until the sugar is completely melted.
  2. Let the sugar mixture bubble gently. Do not stir, but turn the pan occasionally.
  3. When the sugar starts to color, add the butter on a low setting and let it melt.
  4. Carefully add the cream into parts at a low setting. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Take the caramel from the heat source and add the salt.
  6. Allow to cool before use or store in the refrigerator.
