Cook the penne according to the instructions on the package. Chop the onion. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and fry the onions until golden brown.

Cut the turnip in strips. Add the cabbage strips, the sugo and the brown beans with water, stir and bring to the boil.

Let the dish gently simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. Roast the almond shavings in a dry frying pan, shaking regularly, until golden brown.

Cut the basil leaves into strips. Keep some nice leaves behind. Scoop the almond shavings and the basil from the heat into the brown beans.

Divide the penne over the plates and pour the bowing mixture on it. Garnish with the retained basil.
