Beef with summer vegetables


A tasty French recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, beef, salt and pepper, butter or margarine, smoked bacon cubes, dry white wine (Chennet), bay leaves, carrots, spring onions, garden peas (frozen), dijon mustard, pickles and breadcrumbs.

Directions

  1. Bovine beef cut large pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Put butter in frying pan and fry bacon cubes.
  3. Add beef and fry brown on medium heat.
  4. Add wine with 4 dl of water and leaves of laurel and let it cook completely covered for about 2 hours.
  5. Meanwhile, clean carrots and spring onions and cut into pieces of approx.
  6. 4 cm.
  7. Mix vegetables by meat and let them cook completely covered for another 20 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  8. Add garden peas to meat and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220 ºC.
  10. Remove meat and vegetables with skimmer from the pan and put them in a baking dish.
  11. Stirring the mustard through the remaining cooking water and reduce the heat to half of the sauce on high heat.
  12. Give mustard sauce over meat and vegetables.
  13. Cut cucumbers into slices and divide them over the dish.
  14. Sprinkle breadcrumb over the dish and put the oven dish in the oven for about 20 minutes until the top is golden brown..
