Homemade Italian biscuit with orange, unsalted nuts, coconut and white chocolate.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C.
  2. Grate the orange zest of the orange. Mix the butter, sugar, 1 tbsp grater and the vanilla flavor for 5 min. With a mixer.
  3. Add the eggs and mix for 1 more minute.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt over a bowl. Spatula gently through the batter.
  5. Mix the nut mix and the coconut chips through the dough and divide the dough into two parts.
  6. With floured or greased hands, form 2 bars of approx. 30 cm long, 5 cm wide and 1½ cm high.
  7. Place them on a griddle covered with parchment paper and bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Cut the bars into slices of 2 cm thick and put them back on the baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes in the oven.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a grid in 1 hour.
  10. Break the white chocolate into pieces and melt au bain-marie.
  11. Dip approx. 10 biscuits partly in the chocolate and dip a fork into the chocolate for the rest of the biscuits and draw lines over the biscuits.
  12. Let cool and serve.
