Boeuf à la bordelaise
A tasty French recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, shallots, butter or margarine, drizzled beef, salt and pepper (freshly ground), red Bordeaux, meat bouillon, thyme, bay leaves and flour.

Chop the shallots and cut into half rings.

Fry 50 g butter in frying pan and fry meat around brown.

Carve the shallots for 2 minutes.

Dust meat with salt and pepper.

Pour wine along with the edge of the pan and 3 dl of water for meat.

Top up the bouillon tablet.

Add thyme and bay leaf.

Cover the meat in about 3 hours until it is softly cooked.

Cut the rest of butter through flour.

To stir and bind flakes of this mixture through cooking liquid.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper.

Serve with mashed potatoes with pieces of walnut and haricots verts..
