Braised beef in spicy sauce


A delicious indonesian recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, onion, garlic, red peppers, sereh, ginger root, cashew nuts (unsalted), ketoembar, freshly ground black pepper, nutmeg, sirloin steak (a la minute), oil, brown caster sugar and sweet soy sauce.

Directions

  1. Peel and chop onion and garlic.
  2. Wash and halve peppers (leave seed lists).
  3. cut lemongrass into pieces.
  4. Ginger peel and cut into pieces.
  5. In the food processor mix onion, garlic, red pepper, lemongrass, ginger and cashew nuts into fine pasta.
  6. Mix in the ketoebar, pepper and nutmeg.
  7. Cut the entrecotes into strips of approx.
  8. 4 cm wide.
  9. Heat up wok oil and season the herb paste gently for about 3 minutes until it is nice to smell.
  10. Stir in the meat and transfer to browning in about 3 minutes on high heat.
  11. Brown sugar and sweet soy marinade, stirring and gently heating meat for about 2 minutes.
  12. Serve with rice and green beans..
