Braised tomatoes with ginger


A tasty recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: vine tomatoes, fresh ginger root (about 2 cm), garlic, (stir fry) oil, medium sherry and sweet soy sauce.

Directions

  1. Wash, clean and halve tomatoes.
  2. Peel the ginger thinly and cut into thin strips with a sharp knife.
  3. Slice garlic and cut into thin slices.
  4. Heat oil in large (frying) pan.
  5. Chop tomatoes down gently for approx.
  6. 3 minutes.
  7. Turn tomatoes and add ginger and garlic.
  8. Bake for another 4 minutes.
  9. Stir in Sherry and soy marinade, and briefly heat.
  10. Tasty with oriental meat dishes and rice..
