Broad beans with bacon and thyme
A tasty recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: meat, deep-frozen broad beans and shallots.

Cook the broad beans and the sprigs of thyme in a layer of boiling water with salt in 5 min. Almost done. Chop the shallot very finely.

Fry the bacon strips in 2 minutes brown in a dry frying pan. Add the butter and shallot and fry for a further 3 minutes until the shallot is translucent.

Pour the broad beans; Collect part of the cooking liquid. Scoop the broad beans through the bacon and shallot mixture and add a dash of cooking liquid.

Smother the broad beans in a further 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
