A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, butter, onions (in rings), Zeeland bacon ((meats), in strips), tomato paste (70 g), tomato cubes (400 g), chicken stock, cloves, bay leaves, nutmeg (ground) , white rice and kidney beans (a 660 g drained).

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion.
  2. Fry the bacon strips for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato paste, the tomato cubes, 200 ml warm water, the bouillon tablet, the cloves, the bay leaf and the nutmeg and bring to the boil.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes on low heat, with the lid slanted on the pan.
  5. If necessary, add a little extra water if too much moisture evaporates.
  6. In the meantime, cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
  7. Add the brown beans and pepper to taste to the tomato mixture and let the beans simmer for another 5 minutes.
  8. Spoon the rice into 4 deep plates and spread the bean-tomato mixture over it..
