Directions

  1. Heat the butter to a low setting.
  2. Stir in the flour until it comes off the bottom of the pan and turns a bit brown.
  3. Pour the hot fond and add a whisk until all the lumps have disappeared.
  4. Boil the sauce with stirring for at least 3 minutes at a low setting. If necessary, further season with salt and pepper.
