Brussels sprout stew with ginger
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian main course contains the following ingredients: crumbly potatoes (peeled and in pieces), Brussels sprouts (cleaned), ginger root (peeled), butter, onion (coarsely chopped), ground cumin (djinten), apples (firm (eg elstar), peeled and in cubes) and milk (heated).

Boil the potatoes and sprouts in a large pan with a large layer of water with salt in 15-20 minutes.

Grate the ginger.

Heat the butter in a stirring fruit in the onion with the ginger and the cumin very soft glassy.

Scoop the apple cubes through and fry on medium heat in 2-3 minutes brown.

Season with (freshly ground) pepper.

Drain the potatoes and the sprouts and crush them with a pestle.

Add the milk while stirring to create a smooth stew.

Put half of the apple mixture through and season the stew with salt.

Spoon the sprout stew into 4 deep plates and spoon over the rest of the apple mixture.

Tasty with a vegetarian sausage..
